In 1192 the orphaned Lady Judith of Claverham joins the Third Crusade to search for her only brother Edwin, rather than marry Geoffrey de Belgarde. Soon after landing in the Holy Land she is captured by a band of marauding soldiers and only the intervention of a handsome knight saves her from the harem of the Saracen Prince Hasan. However, her rescuer is none other than Geoffrey de Belgarde.
