Sea Change

(2002)
A novel by

In 1803 there is uneasy peace between England and France. Naval Captain Oliver Westland is jilted by Admiral's daughter Sarah Craythorne, but on the rebound proposes to her sister Letty. After their wedding Westland immediately sails for the West Indies, leaving the marriage unconsummated. In a freak incident whilst on her way to join him, a new man enters Letty's life, French captain Armand d'Anviers. The tale twists and turns between Letty's uneasy marriage to Westland and incidents and encounters with d'Anviers until, finally, the two men face their destiny under the guns of Trafalgar.-
