An anthology of stories edited by N Apythia Marges and Tamela J Ritter
Ripple Effect: (n) a spreading chain reaction caused by a single event, e.g., a raindrop, a puddle, a flood, a broken levee, a drowned city, a rebirth, an idea, a book. In 2007, hundreds of fans gathered in New Orleans to celebrate their love of literature. While there, they learned first-hand about the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, particularly the damage done to the libraries. Now some of those same fans are celebrating the power of the written word again, this time in an effort to help. Join in the celebration by purchasing your copy of "Ripple Effect," a collection of original fiction and art to benefit Rebuild New Orleans Public Library. ALL profits from this book, which includes 44 pieces of fiction and 30 works of art by more than 40 contributors, will be donated to the charity. At a time when the stories coming out of New Orleans sounded the same, we wanted to tell different stories-fiction inspired by New Orleans librarians who were struggling to put their libraries and lives back together. Writers and artists worldwide donated works of art, poems and fiction for this anthology. Contributors include Silvia Barlaam, Donna Beltz, Tanya Bentham, Moe Biers, D.J. Black, Jason Burger, Greta Cabrel, Rachel Caine, Gwyneth Cooper, Peg Duthie, Matissa Evensong, S.R. Ferguson, C.A.
