A novel by Sorrell Ames
A young couple with two small children buy a house across the street from a large Victorian home, owned by a prominent physician and his wife. But when the couple's baby monitor picks up conversations in their neighbor's home, the mother learns more than just idle gossip. She discovers that the doctor is involved in illegal medical practices resulting in the deaths of women and babies, and places her own life at risk in order to stop him.
