Hoosegow was a town harbouring terrible secrets, a place where folk preferred to bury their heads in the sand rather than confront the truth. Eustace Teal was an easterner bound for Hoosegow little guessing the violence that would confront him and how his life would change forever, forcing him to change from a man of peace to a man of violence as he confronted men who wanted to see him dead. He could not know that unwittingly he would bring mayhem to Hoosegow, a town where old scores were waiting to be settled and those who had been wronged exacted bloody vengeance. Don Hickory and Silas Gilpin were men who thought they were beyond justice but in a town like Hoosegow anything could happen as violence simmered beneath the peaceful facade.
