Kathleen Morris lives and writes in the desert Southwest. She is an aficionado of Western history and loves following in the footsteps of the people she writes about. The Lily of the West is a historical novel, inspired by finding the final resting place of Mary Katherine Haroney (aka “Big Nose Kate”) while in Prescott, Arizona, and delving further into the life of this fascinating woman. She is a graduate of Prescott College in Environmental and Western Studies.
