Eamonn has always been known as Eamonn the Lucky. Everything he's ever wanted he has achieved, and now, he's reached his life's goal. He's a member of the King's Guard, handpicked for service by the Fae King.
All is going well until the day he and his best friend, also a member of the Guard, were assigned the innocent task of escorting a lady of the court. That's when everything goes wrong, and all his luck disappears.
Now Captain of the Watchers, he's relegated to a remote outpost, with no hope of getting himself out of disgrace. There's not even the hope of relieving the tedium of his new position, until one of his Watchers doesn't check in. When Eamonn goes to find him, he opens up a mystery he never saw coming.
