Her Worst Fear

The voice I hear is Becca's, my eighteen-year-old daughter.

'Mom, it's me,' she says, her words high-pitched, rushed.

'What's wrong?'

'I...' she stalls. 'I did something terrible.'

I hear her suck in air. I do the same thing. The clock reads 10.57 a.m.

'Mom....' another pause.

'What?'

'I killed someone.'

And all of a sudden Nadine's privileged middle class existence is shattered. Nadine, determined to do whatever it takes to save her daughter, sets out on a path which leads her back to her own past -- and the secrets she thought were hidden there. Is she responsibile for the danger her own daughter is in now? And can she save her?
