Tyrant’s ugly past shaped him into the MC president he is today. He’s not one to show emotion. He’s called Tyrant for a reason, which his enemies and club brothers know well. He only shows his feelings, his softer side, to a select few. As president of a new chapter of the Royal Bastards in Norfolk, VA, he concentrates on making it a success, protecting his club, and not much else. Recently, that means discovering if a betrayal was instigated by someone they work closely with, the Jacquot family.

Tyrant’s lack of emotions changes when, one night, while working at their garage, he discovers a teenager digging through their dumpster. It triggers something in Tyrant. As he tries to get the truth from the boy, his commanding side has a woman flying to the boy’s rescue. River isn’t alone. His sister, Lakelyn, lives with him on the streets.

Tyrant is even more impacted by Lakelyn, though he fights the reason why. He’ll do the unexpected, which shocks his club. He brings them back to their compound. From there, the attraction grows, and he knows that Lakelyn and her brother are hiding something. Why are they homeless? When it’s discovered that the Jacquot family is responsible, the decision to make them pay becomes doubly important. It seems Tyrant has a heart after all, and the beautiful, strong, and smart Lakelyn has it in the palm for her hand. There appears to be salvation for a tortured soul like Tyrant’s, after all.

See how Tyrant and the Royal Bastards of Norfolk, VA, deal with those who betray them and how Tyrant finds he’s human, leading him to see what he’s needed all along: a woman of his own.
