Zhao Dan returns to his sect to find a conflict brewing amongst his disciples. When one of them almost dies, he realises he must take a firmer hand in leading them. By organising a tournament in the Grasping Life Sect, he hopes to give the disciples a better way of battling it out. Within the tournaments, healing experts and martial demons emerge, while outside the sect the political situation turns complex and potentially deadly.
