In the aftermath of defeating Scythe Cardyle, Aiden and his friends are trying to resume their normal lives. But Tyler has been acting strangely since being locked in the Golden Tombs, haunted by terrifying dreams and a voice that won't leave him alone. When he's attacked by a shadow monster at a Halloween carnival, the four friends learn that someone is out to get him.
Desperate to protect him at all costs, they seek out an old ally from Tyler's past. But cracks are forming within the group as Tyler grows colder and more distant. And with their enemy closing in, Aiden, his friends and their parents must do everything they can to save Tyler from the ghosts of his past.
