Murder of a Spirit Medium
(2027)(Book 14 in the Cleopatra Fox Mysteries series)
A novel by C J Archer
England is in mourning. Cleo is at a seance. Somebody is about to be murdered.
When a renowned spirit medium is killed by her own device mid-seance, the timing couldn't be more suspicious. Moments earlier, the spirit of Queen Victoria herself had spelled out the name of a man known for exposing fraudulent spiritualists.
As Cleo and Harry untangle the medium's web of deception, they find no shortage of people who to want her dead. Skeptics and long-term clients alike had their lives ruined by her elaborate trickery. But which one turned a harmless mechanism into a murder weapon?
Meanwhile, Harry is eager to make an important announcement to Cleo’s family. But with her uncle worrying about canceled reservations and the whole country draped in mourning, Cleo wonders if it’s a good time. The question is, when will be?
Genre: Cozy Mystery
