Emma and Peter decide to visit Peter's personal hero, Winston Churchill. They plan to visit him before he becomes famous as Britain's great WW ll leader. They travel to South Africa in 1899 where twenty-five-year-old Churchill is serving as a journalist during the Boer War. He has been captured by the Boers and is being held as a prisoner of war.
The two young time travelers actually get to watch young Winston escape from his prison. They end up helping him in his escape as he attempts to cross Africa.
