A novel by

Victoria Eurille has given up what she knows best. She did it as a promise to her lover, that she would turn over a new leaf, be a better person. Once the villain known as Lady Midnight, she’s now Victoria Jameson, Haven Falls police detective. And as much as she misses the power, she knows that she’s trying to do the right thing. For Lana, as she promised.

Lana Blake is dead. In the past this wasn’t much of an issue, but now she’s trapped in the mysterious world between life and death, the Twilight. Unable to find a way home, she grows increasingly desperate as she realizes the longer she’s there, the longer it will be before she gets to go home to her love, to Victoria.

As Lana searches for a way back Victoria tries to go against her nature, hoping to do some good and change things from the inside of a corrupt system. But when everything seems to be going wrong, Victoria is forced to return to her old ways, hurting friends, enemies, and lovers alike. When she goes too far, can the love shared between the women fix things? Or are they ultimately doomed to be two sides of the same coin?

Book two of Heroes and Villains, this book picks up right at the end of the first book, Into Darkness, and is best read in sequence.
