The Circle of Fortune

In this medieval romance set in England, Alicia de Lacy and Eble le Strange are determined to recover the fortune that was taken from Alicia by the king and his favourite, Hugh le Despenser. So when Roger Mortimer escapes from the Tower of London they support his campaign to take the throne. But as Mortimer's power increases he becomes as corrupt as his predecessors, and Alicia and Eble are forced to decide where their loyalties really lie.
