In the vast, endless stretches of deep space, isolation is a heavy burden to bear.
For Ava, surviving alone has meant keeping her guard up and her expectations low. But when Ghax answers the distress call for her ship, she finally lets herself hope for rescue. Instead, his ulterior plans backfire, leaving them stranded in territory-free space for ten long months. Alone. But always together.
Yet Ghax isn't the ruthless beast she assumes him to be. Understanding how intimidating his appearance is to a delicate human, this terrifying raider is willing to do whatever it takes to earn her trust. He will be patient. He will provide. And in the quiet isolation of the stars, he will prove his devotion until she's ready to surrender to the heat between them.
This is a fast-paced standalone sci-fi romance short story in the Interstellar Mates series featuring a monstrous alien hero, forced proximity/isolation, patient courting, and open-door spice.
