Jack Hillman and Karen Marvin have danced around each other for a while in their gossipy small town, not sure if their tentative relationship is going anywhere.
Then both Karen and Jack get hit with ghosts from their pasts: Karen’s evil ex, Jack’s cousin's young daughter, and a giant dog who instantly ruins Karen's best suit.
Jack and Karen soon realize that these events have coalesced to threaten the entire future of Riverbend, the town that gave them both refuge.
They must work together to save the place that let them live in peace, even if it means sacrificing that peace and the chance of happiness they’ve found with each other.
