I didn’t decide to come to St. Andrew’s Academy on a whim. I came to prove to myself that real Doms exist in this world, and everything that went wrong in the past wasn’t my fault. I’ll spend a few months learning the art of total power exchange from someone who knows what they’re doing, and on Match Day, I’ll be chosen by a man who can give me everything I’ve always wanted – rules, safety, and financial security.
But life has a funny way of screwing me.
The Dom in charge of training me for my future husband is nothing like I expected. Orion is scary in a way that calls to me, punctual in a way I crave, and although he teaches me everything right about scene life, he teaches me even more about myself.
With him, I don’t have to be perfect. I just have to be me, and as he helps me unlearn all the falsehoods I believed about being a sub, it frees me up to figure out what I really want.
And what I want… is him.
If only it wasn’t against the rules.
I signed the contract – we both did – yet every moment we spend together feels less like an obligation and more like a revelation that we were made for each other. But he’s a man of the rules, and I came crawling to this school begging to have them.
Maybe it’s time we make our own.
