A French Masquerade

Barbara Chesney recklessly escapes an arranged marriage and is thankful to be offered the post of lady's maid to a young emigree who has escaped from the turbulence of the French Revolution. When Barbara and her mistress are kidnapped, it is Barbara's quick thinking that enables her to change places with her mistress, never dreaming that she would be smuggled across the channel to face a revolutionary court in Paris. How will she be rescued when no-one knows she is there?
