Leika, accomplished in her own right as a powerful Loni mystic, can't stand her friend's tendency to protect her, even when she doesn't need it. Not only that, but all the women in their neighborhood are jealous of her because they assume she is with the alluring and sought after Cherin. But Leika could never be with that handsome, protective goof of hers... right?
When Leika receives a summons from the High Priestess of Kaldernon, everything they know begins to change. Cherin sneaks along to protect Leika, and soon they find themselves on a heated journey to save descendants of Kaldernon who are being hunted on Earth. They have been fighting their feelings their whole lives, but when Cherin suddenly makes a move, all bets are off and their journey takes a confusing turn.
Neither want to destroy the strong friendship they have nurtured since childhood, but the passion between them is undeniable. When it causes them to go their separate ways, Leika is captured. Will Cherin be able to reconcile his feelings in time to save her?
