Kyna's people have been wandering the earth for centuries after a rip in spacetime brought them hurdling to earth. They have done their best to keep their traditions alive, but as the bloodlines are diluted, their connection to their home world Kaldernon is more difficult to maintain, and the Guardians, a fundamentalist group hell-bent on destroying her people, are plotting their revenge.

Cain, a ruggedly handsome purebred dragon shifter, was adopted at an early age. One night while hunting he discovers Kyna. Upon meeting, she has a prophecy and realizes that Cain will be the man to save her people, and it is up to her to make it happen.

The only problem with this is that Cain doesn't even know what a dragon shifter is, let alone that he is one. Kyna confesses the truth to him but Cain doesn't buy it. He leaves, taking with him her hopes of returning to Kaldernon.

But Kyna can't give up. Her visions are rarely wrong, and she can't get the stubborn but sexy man out of her head. Will Cain be able to embrace his mysterious past and help her people before it's too late?
