One Marooned Golf Champion + One Fiery Irish Pub Owner = Trouble
Jax Caldwell is used to perfectly manicured greens, not mud-caked roads leading nowhere. But when his Porsche sputters out just outside the rain-soaked village of Ballybeg, he’s trapped. Unfortunately for him, Ballybeg’s residents couldn’t care less that he’s a PGA champion or Charleston’s golden boy. Jax finds himself at the village’s only innabove a rowdy pub called The Banshee’s Rest, run by the infuriatingly stunning Deirdre Gallagher.
Dee has a zero-tolerance policy for spoiled American boys who think they’re God’s gift. The last thing she needs is a Yankee heartthrob distracting her while she’s fighting to save her family’s pub and the village from greedy real estate developers who want to decimate their beautiful nature to build a you guessed it, golf resort.
Despite her best efforts, Dee can’t quite ignore Jax’s swaggeror those wicked dimples he flashes whenever he catches her glaring. Against her better judgment, she offers him a bed upstairs and a taste of Ballybeg’s true spirit, all the while warning that she doesn’t roll out the welcome mat for ‘men like him.’
Each clash, each lingering look, only fuels the tension between them. Out of his depth but drawn to Dee's fierce spirit, Jax devises a plan to save her village. Dee doesn’t need rescuingespecially not from a cocky American. But as Jax fights for her village along with the quirkiest citizens of Ballybeg, Dee faces a choice: take a swing at love or guard her heart.
