Athena and Beau have settled down to a quiet life with their son Leo, but that doesn't last long. Out the of blue, Beau gets a call from his boss about a fiery traffic accident up in the mountains. The FBI doesn't usually investigate traffic cases, but when the firemen extinguished a blazing SUV in Kremmling, Colorado, they found a chopped up body in the back.

And even weirder, the coroner discovers that the body is missing several vital organs neatly snipped away by someone skilled with a scapel. Beau learns that this person was enslaved and sent to a hidden human chop shop. Beau, along with his crimefighting partner Athena, soon find themselves tracking the most coldblooded serial killer in Colorado history.
