Being a firefighter is what I was born to do. The rush, the adrenaline, I live for it. So when a wildfire gets close to Storyville, Colorado, I don’t hesitate to volunteer to go help them. Storyville is exactly how I pictured, but nothing like I imagined. When I check in at the local resort, I literally run into the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. There’s an instant connection that’s undeniable, but I’m only here temporarily. Except that my temporary assignment gets extended when a series of small fires start popping up. As Amélie and I grow closer, the fires get more intense, and the threats become more personal. Seems like I didn’t leave all my problems behind in BearHug Valley, but I’ll do everything I can to keep my girl safe.

As a massive wildfire closes in on the resort, my siblings and I go into preparation mode. We want to be prepared for the worst case scenario. But I’m so caught up in a phone call that I literally run right into a guest. And not just any guest. Quite possibly the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. After apologizing profusely, I shake his hand to introduce myself. The zing I feel go up my arm is the first clue that Ridge is someone special. I’m a little disappointed when I find out he’s a firefighter from Alaska here too help with the wildfire. I want to get to know him more. When more fires start to break out, I get my wish. But when I start receiving weird messages, I know this is more than I can handle. Will the arsonist be caught before their threats become reality?
