Divorced.
Coco Sutton mulled over the word as she drove the moving truck through Frith Canyon. The day after the divorce was finalized, her ex-husband married his girlfriend. How long would the second marriage last? Less than the first one? He liked the ladies which made the marriage a bit crowded.
Coco had enough. She didn’t want to see her ex and his new wife in the community or overhear the whispered gossip in her hometown in Oklahoma. So she did what any sensible woman would do and bought a run-down Victorian in Frith, Colorado—sight unseen. As she worked at renovating her new home into a bed and breakfast, she befriended several men in her new community. Friends only. She didn’t need a second chance at romance. Once was enough.
Heath Axel and his dog, Plunger, left the crazy pace of a metropolitan city for a quiet life in Frith. He drove an old truck and lived in his plumbing shop to hide a secret. To some, a plumbing career was not very glamorous, but it paid well. Well enough to invest and create wealth. He was careful with money, saved everything, and enjoyed his job. However, his social life was like a clogged sink. He’d dated several women in the past. When they found out about his bank account they loved the bank balance more than him. But money wasn’t everything.
That changed when he meets Coco. They become inseparable. But when a virus and a mountain lion threaten the community, misunderstandings separate them.
Will their love be strong enough to find a way to work together?
