After the last fiasco, I was prayin’ my wife’s unnatural attraction to disasters might finally wear off.
Nope. No such luck.
When her cousin Joey, head of Divorces R Us, calls in sick, Sam volunteers to cover. Easy job: sneak in, snap a few compromisin’ photos, go home. No big deal. Except instead of naked cheatin’ spouses, she finds two fully dressed people exchangin’ USB drives.
Not suspicious at all, right?
Next thing I know, we’re knee-deep in a mess involvin’ her mob boss uncle, Frankie the hitman, the cats, the FBI, the CIA, and even Mossad. Hard to find private time, but we manage. (FYI, mile high ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.) Meanwhile, bullets chase us from Brooklyn to Montreal to Maine.
Turns out my wife’s the only person on the planet to photograph The Broker.
Even when our helicopter crashes into the Atlantic, Sam insists her danger magnetism is good for business. Maybe she’s right. After all, Suds and Sam, Private Investigators have never been busier. If we could extract it and bottle it, we’d make a fortune, then take a nice, long vacation.
As always, expect laughs, love, and enough heat to steam up your readin’ glasses.
