Murder Before the Ashes
(2027)(The prequel to the Maggie Wright Cozy Mystery series)
A novel by Tessa Aura
Before the ashes, there were secrets...and one of them had Elizabeth Dunn’s name on it.
When a young researcher is found dead at the bottom of a rain-slicked stairwell at Tong Isle’s Graystone Research, everyone is quick to call it a tragic accident.
Elizabeth isn’t convinced.
A strange bruise, mismatched mud, missing records, and altered research data suggest Naomi discovered something someone desperately wanted hidden. As Elizabeth digs deeper, every new clue points to another secret, another suspect, and another reason someone might have wanted Naomi silenced.
With Harper nearby and Biscuit waiting faithfully at home, Elizabeth follows the evidence through the isolated island research facility, determined to uncover the truth.
But Naomi may have found more than one dangerous secret.
And one of them leads straight back to Elizabeth.
Perfect for readers who love clever clues, suspicious deaths, loyal dogs, amateur sleuths, and cozy mysteries with a deeper mystery woven underneath.
