A novel by

Psychiatrist Oakley Addison is ready to enjoy a romantic relationship. She’s lonely but too busy to do anything about it. Going to a conference where the focus is military personnel, first responders, and veterans. Where her heart is, and so she takes the plunge and drives to Dallas for a week. Before the first session she has to fight off a mugger and had to settle a mistaken identity problem. This week might be more trouble than it’s worth, except for the fascinating, enticing man that has swept her off her feet. Putting on the brakes is harder than she ever expected.

Attorney Ryker Bennett is looking for what his friends have: Love. The woman he has recently been pursuing is not The One and so the hunt continues. Presenting at a legal conference on what he has a heart and practice focused on, he finds himself saving a lovely damsel in distress before entering the hotel. His heart says this could be the one, but his logical mind questions his quick decision.

They connect on many levels and things begin to heat up before the conference ends and continues at home. Just as their relationship develops, and they commit to a life together, Oakley disappears. Frantic, Ryker turns to his best friend Jac and his operatives to help him find and save Oakley before it’s too late.
