The girls can’t believe what the king must tell them but he knows that he needs to tell them the reason why the queen had chosen them. He knows that he should’ve told them many years ago, but they were trained. He could see how strong they were, he could see the fight in them just like the queen when she had picked them. They were fighting with other fairies in the dark. If they were to just use their powers. they were going to need to turn into the little demons that they once were.
The way the king explains it to them is horrifying. They don’t want to believe that they were like that. Shelby even felt ashamed of all the things that they had done while they were there in the highest room of the highest tower. She didn’t like all the things that the king was telling them.
Jazz explains that Vanessa was trying to cast a spell to rid the girls. to make sure that they weren’t in the woods or even in the kingdom. She doesn’t know why Vanessa would bring them up to human form and the queen tells her it’s because they are only to beat the beast. Bethany wasn’t expecting the girls to figure out the good powers or the bad and Vanessa knew that they were going to be in the fight with only the beast, but Vanessa had other plans that the beast would be in the kingdom and not the woods. The witches had no control over the beasts but Vanessa was sure that the battle would start in the kingdom. The beast would be finished there and now everything is just falling apart.
