A Story by

Will an empath with medical issues trust his heart to a golden retriever wolf shifter? Outlook not so good...

Everyone always says meeting a potential mate is one of the most beautiful, amazing experiences of your life. But I’m pretty sure their mates weren’t in the process of buying pregnancy books at the time.

Even if I get over that, my cancer has returned, and I’m about to have a significant body part removed. Rafferty says it doesn’t make a difference to him, but he’s an alpha wolf shifter, and some of his pack members have been expressing concerns.

Rafferty is persistent, though, and he’s bending over backwards to make sure I know he wants me to be his mate. I’m trying to believe him, but the last thing I want is for him to regret his decision. If only we had more time before my surgery....

Magic Fate Ball
is a low-angst standalone novella set in the Singular Magics universe. It features an empath with too many balls in the air and not enough balls... elsewhere, and an alpha wolf shifter who knows his mate when he finds him. HEA guaranteed!

Magic Fate Ball
was originally published in the Candy Hearts: Volume 3 charity anthology. It has not been changed.
