Learning about magic, gaining healing powers, and almost getting kidnapped has been scary beyond belief. So why does being on the run with two hot men feel even more dangerous?
This time last year I was just a regular guy with a regular life. Nurse by day, sparkly club twink by night. Then I learned there’s magic in this world, and I almost died in the process. I’m good now. Just a gnarly scar on my belly as a reminder. Well, that and the magical healing ability.
Turns out being the only Healer in, well, ever can put a target on your back, but the local shifter pack is kind enough to lend me some personal protection. Bonus? One of my security guards is Oz, a big giant teddy bear—not an actual bear—who was rescued from a supernatural trafficking ring. He’s trying to get his life back to normal, and I’m happy to help. Dating is a normal activity, right?
Things are going swimmingly until my friend Ellis’ unfairly gorgeous, world-class PITA brother decides to volunteer as my second bodyguard. Over my objections, mind you. Arch is the Hunter who saved Oz, and the way those two look at each other? [fans self] Arch says he’s attracted to me too, but that’s not happening. Nope, no way, no how. I don’t care if he’s maybe not quite as irritating as he used to be. Oz is welcome to him.
Though I still want Oz.
As if that wasn’t enough chaos, the supernatural traffickers who kidnapped Oz decide I’d look good on the cover of their next auction catalog. Now I’m on the run with two lethal bodyguards, zero personal space, and way too much unresolved tension.
This is not the life I’d planned.
But I’m starting to think I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
