After what I’d suffered, I wanted a fresh start, and the quaint town of Redwood Heights sounded perfect. But strange things have been happening since I arrived.
First, Conner Priest, keeps popping up everywhere I go, tormenting me with his dominant nature—one I both rebel against and yearn to obey.
Second, I’m having terrifying hallucinations making me wonder if I’m losing my mind.
But now I’m being held in a facility. They’re experimenting on me and now I can see red lines that look like fire forming under my skin, turning me into something not entirely human. My head’s telling me that Conner’s the only person who can save me, but I don’t know why or who to trust anymore.
