Mr. Darcy has the rarest form of magic, black magic. The magical fog he wields can invade the mind of any living creature and force it to do Mr. Darcy’s bidding. He doesn’t like his magic, nor does anyone else. Most of society considers it fundamentally evil. Mr. Darcy’s wealth and status make up for it at least partially, so that he is still welcomed in most places, but he is not particularly sought after among the ton.
When Mr. Darcy travels to Hertfordshire with his friend, Mr. Bingley, and his cousin, Colonel Fitzwilliam, all three gentlemen find ladies there that capture their hearts. But love’s course does not run smoothly for any of them.
Miss Elizabeth Bennet despises black magic with a passion, so much so that she even declines to dance with Mr. Darcy when he asks her at the local assembly. It isn’t long, however, before Elizabeth begins to be attracted to him against her will.
As she comes to know Mr. Darcy better, can she ever learn to accept his black magic as well?
