I never thought I’d fall for my best friend.

Ryan
I can admit that asking Nat to be my fake girlfriend was a mistake. But she agreed, and I couldn’t deny that it felt nice having someone to take on double dates with all my recently in-love friends. When I realized that my feelings for Nat went beyond friendship, it seemed like the perfect way to avoid coming clean about our lie and get our happily ever after. The problem? There was no way she reciprocated my feelings.

Nat
Ryan must’ve gotten hit in the head. That was the only explanation for why he’d ask me to pretend to be his girlfriend. We grew up in this town, and everyone who knew us would agree that we were polar opposites—and not in an ‘opposites attract’ kind of way. I agreed, but only so he would finally participate in my favorite spooky festivities with me. But then we started pretending to be attracted to each other, and I realized how little I actually needed to pretend. How could we have been friends for so long and never felt that way before?

I needed to end this fake relationship before my real feelings ruined our friendship.

Haunted in Hazy Cove
Trick or treat! We’re back in Hazy Cove, where the jack-o-lanterns are glowing and the moon is full. With the shadows getting spookier every day, does romance stand a chance, or are these couples going to forever be haunted by what could’ve been?

Genre: Romance
