The Librarian's Knightly Quest
(2027)(The first book in the Ladies of The Round Table series)
A novel by Isabel Barreiro
Medieval mayhem is on the rise, but so is desire.
Aracelia Barcellos is content in her kingdom's library. As Novala's librarian, she spends her days surrounded by bookshelves filled with art, science, and history. Locked in the bottom drawer of her desk are the books she reads by candlelight when she's all alone—stories of roguish men who make her blush and daring women who embark on adventures. She lives a quiet life with her friends and their secret book club in the forgotten North Tower of Novala’s castle.
That is, until the shadows began plaguing her.
Gabriel Monteiro II has returned home after being away for eight years. His father sent him off to train with the best knights of Luminara, earning him a reputation amongst their people. Upon his return, he thought his father would want to reconcile their strenuous relationship. Instead, he is tasked with uncovering who is threatening to assassinate the royal family.
As the spring festival draws near, Novala’s dark past seems to be repeating itself. Aracelia becomes entangled with Gabriel's mission as they spend more time behind bookshelves. Their hidden desires grow with every late-night adventure and heated quarrel as they race against the clock to save the kingdom.
The rakish knight and the vexing librarian may be like night and day, but they must work together to uncover the truth of Novala's past. Who is lying, and why? They say the pen is mightier than the sword, and in this case, this pen is soaked in blood and shame while the truth is locked behind crumbling stones.
Can Aracelia and Gabriel save their kingdom and themselves? Or will one of them have to make the ultimate sacrifice?
The Librarian's Knightly Quest is book 1 in The Ladies of the Round Table series. A romantasy that twists Portuguese folklore and the Authurian legends. If you enjoy yearning, slow-burn touches, and a sprinkle of mayhem, this is for you! For 18+ audience.
Genre: Paranormal Romance
