The Case Of The Lincoln Sausage

(2017)
(The second book in the Small Town Murder Bureau series)
A novel by

What connects World War Two flypasts, ferret racing, intrigue in the jam-making tent, dancing tractors and authentic chutney?
The great British tradition of agricultural shows, of course!
It's not such a good day out for one man who's been strangled in the most horrible of ways - by a string of his own sausages! Once the police have decided it's almost certainly not suicide, an arrest is quickly made.
But has the right man been charged? An awful lot of people wanted the victim out of their lives.
Soon Penny May is on the case, helped by her niece Destiny who's chosen the hottest summer possible to explore her Goth phase. She's surrounded by her usual confederates - the grumpy Bill Travers, the bouncy Francine, the morose Ariadne, and of course, her rescue dog Kali.
But a mix-up over words and meanings leads to danger for Destiny, and a dramatic rescue from a most unlikely figure...
This is a quiet and gently-paced novel; it's clean, sweet and suitable for all readers. Don't expect big drama and car crashes, just a warm community and lots of cups of tea. It is so slow and light that it makes Midsomer Murders look like brutal gritty realism - you have been warned! Also it is a NOVELLA - 40,000 words (a full length book is around 60,000 words. This is SHORT and easy to digest quickly.)
No cliffhanger. Small Town Murder Bureau books can be read in any order.

Genre: Cozy Mystery
