For two years, Scott Bradley has been subjected to harassment and humiliation from the school bully, Mason Baldwin. Mason takes advantage of Scott’s smaller stature, and when Scott and his friend, John Eastman, stand up to the bullying from Mason and his cronies, Scott is almost expelled. He decides to enroll in a different school, and is surprised when Mason apologizes for his behavior. Scott has always found Mason attractive, and wishes he could believe Mason’s apology to be sincere, but when he considers Mason’s past record, he can’t find it in himself to forgive him.

Seventeen years later, the two, now successful in their chosen careers, meet at a dinner event and Mason, once again tries to reverse Scott’s bad opinion of him. The two men decide to talk and clear the air. When Mason kisses Scott, Scott finds the other man’s allure to be powerful and gives in to Mason’s seduction – until he realizes this could be just one more move to humiliate him, and breaks free of Mason’s embrace.

It takes more time to pass before Scott will even consider a dinner invitation from Mason, and when it goes badly, Scott decides to never let Mason be the part of his life the man craves. Lesson learned? Fortunately, in this case, there's a road to a happy ending.
