Kennedy Wynter’s mind is always spinning. She has the creative energy to make just about anything happen. She has been trying to tame everything in her life for years, pushing away the memories of home and moving away across the country. But when her creative spark starts to dim, she realises that she might have to go back to where she once found it. Spending a summer in a beach town with her old friends and family she hasn’t seen sounds like a dream, but it’s the getting there that is the hardest part.

Harry Butler is a lone wolf. Trying to be seen as the middle child in a family failed miserably, so what better way to earn his tripes than moving across the world and starting afresh? A new country. A new town. And still he still doesn’t fit in. The only person that sees him is the talkative socialite across campus who hasn’t been able to stop thinking about. When his family bail on coming to visit him for the summer, he makes the spontaneous decision to go with Kennedy instead. Only problem? The more time they spend together in the sweltering summer heat, he can’t help but think inspiration aren’t the only sparks flying between the pair.

A summer road trip, late night drives and line-dancing in bars until the sun comes up might be just what the two need to find some calm in their lives. Well, that’s until it does the opposite.
