Edith Elliott is minding her own business and enjoying a simple cricket match in her village of Hinklebury when all hell breaks loose thanks to the unexpected and rather forceful bat from fellow villager Harry Lanscombe.
One cricket ball to the head and an ambulance ride to A&E, Edith discovers that her life is turned upside down, setting her on a whole new life path and seeing her reunited with her estranged brother, Branwell.
