The Wolf Runner

The Wolf Runner unfolds as a bedtime story told by an old woman to her restless grandchildren. Against the howl of a winter's night, the woman tells the legend of Aiyana, an impetuous and ever-curious young Native American girl who lives to defy the strict rules set by her tribe. Although the woods beyond her village are forbidden, Aiyana is eager to see what secrets they hold. When she meets Honihaka, a mysterious boy who has become separated from his own people, the two set off on a journey of discovery that teaches Aiyana a valuable lesson: fearing the unknown can imprison you more than it can keep you safe.
