It’s time for the 110th Lower Dimblebrook village fete and Issie is busy preparing for the Perfect Scone competition as well a visit from her mother. DI Wainwright is also occupied looking for the murderer of local bad boy, Patrick Devine and this time Issie has far too much to do to become involved in the investigation, much to the relief of the delicious if somewhat grumpy detective.
But then a second dramatic murder takes place and when Issie and her scones are implicated, she and her mother decide to do a little investigating of their own.
