Sidney Becker Mystery Series

As a vicious storm slashes the mountain town of Garnerville, Police Chief Sidney Becker is called to a brutal crime scene. A tourist arrived at his cabin to find a dead man seated at a table staged as a fisherman. The victim has been garroted with thin wire and surrounded by carefully arranged fishing gear. His mug, shirt and ball cap bare fishing slogans, some that taunt the police: Catch Me If You Can. The homicide echoes another gruesome slaying. A young woman was garroted and posed as a teacher, complete with a blackboard, pointer, and reading glasses perched on her nose.
A seasoned detective, Becker understands that she has a sadistic psychopath on her hands—one who enjoys theatricality, craves attention, and thinks he can outsmart the police.
Sidney’s team pursue every lead in a relentless investigation. As they close in, their efforts are thwarted by a tabloid reporter who leaks confidential details about the crime scene.
Instead of hiding, the killer escalates with another theatrical murder. Becker needs to outsmart the killer, fast, before he strikes again. Can she use his hunger for publicity against him?
