In the heart-wrenching tale of "After Ella," readers are introduced to Myra and Andy Bailey, a couple who have just experienced the unimaginable loss of their only child, Ella. As they struggle to come to terms with this tragedy, the couple's grief and pain manifest in destructive ways. They blame each other for their daughter's sudden death and turn to substance abuse and infidelity as a means of coping.

Myra's drug use leads her to experience terrifying hauntings that she can't explain. Her psychic abilities, which she had long since suppressed, are reignited, and she is visited by malevolent ghosts that show her no mercy. She is desperate to connect with her lost child but is unable to do so. Meanwhile, Andy has found solace in the arms of another woman, Tina. He becomes convinced that Myra is responsible for their daughter's death and takes drastic action against her, including charging her with murder. His anger and grief blind him to the truth.

In the aftermath of a tragic event, Myra and Andy Bailey struggle to cope with the loss of their three-year-old daughter, Ella. Grief-stricken and unable to console each other, they turn to harmful habits that threaten to tear them apart. Myra, in particular, finds herself spiraling downward as she grapples with her latent psychic abilities and the terrifying paranormal experiences that seem to accompany them.

Myra is haunted by dark spirits with malevolent intentions and consumed by her fears and anxieties. She sees no way out of her predicament, until a chance encounter with her estranged husband, Andy, brings about a new sense of hope and understanding. Though he initially rejects her claims of supernatural activity, Andy eventually comes to see things from Myra's perspective and begins to offer her the support she so desperately needs.

Throughout the course of the novel, Myra encounters a number of sinister ghosts, each with their own agenda. The Horned Shadow, a demonic presence that preys on her darkest fears, plays a particularly prominent role. It torments her with visions of Ella, convincing her that her daughter is still alive and in danger. Meanwhile, the Lady in White, an old woman who died on the property decades earlier, seems to be seeking revenge for past wrongs. As Myra struggles to come to terms with these hauntings, she must also confront the demons within herself. Together, the couple faces down the ghosts that have been haunting them and find peace in each other's arms once more.

At its heart, After Ella is a story about the power of love and forgiveness in the face of overwhelming tragedy. Through all of the twists and turns of this gripping paranormal tale, readers will be left with a sense of hope and renewal, as Myra and Andy rediscover the bonds that tie them together and find a way to move forward after the loss of their child.
