The Hungry Tent
(2026)(The second book in the Blackwell Revival Trilogy series)
A novel by M L Bullock
The revival has crossed the county line, and it is growing.
When Reverend Thibault's crew unrolls the canvas in the next town, the tent is forty feet longer than the one they took down. Nobody sewed it. The crowds are bigger too, and for the first time the healings are real. The blind see. The lame walk. And every night, somewhere out at the edge of the lantern light, someone else is quietly gone.
Toby Boyd is counting. Hidden in plain sight among a thousand true believers, he writes down what he sees and mails it home one postal card at a time, to the only grown man who ever believed him.
Back in Blackwell, Silas Mercer reads every word. His friend Jesse is still in irons. The sheriff has stolen his name. To free Jesse he will need a lawyer, a witness, and more nerve than he knew he had. To stop the tent he will have to find out where the barefoot boy came from, and what Eli Thibault did to him.
Because the thing under the canvas is no longer following the preacher. It is leading him.
The Hungry Tent is the second book in the Blackwell Revival Trilogy.
