Old Dogs, New Tricks

(2026)
(The third book in the Old Dogs' Club series)
A novel by

Vera Marchetti went up that Ferris wheel alive. When she came back down, she was dead.

Dixie Farrow has spent two years in Carraway being the loud one at the diner, telling stories nobody quite believes. Then a carnival rolls into Colter Park and sets up four hundred yards from her lawn chair — the same show she ran off from thirty-three years ago, with a bad name and a hundred dollars.

The night it opens, eighty-nine-year-old Vera stands up at supper in front of the whole crew and says she knows who's been stealing from her. She'll give the name in the morning.

She never gets a morning.

So who runs an old woman to the top of a Ferris wheel on a freezing cold night, locks the controls, and walks away?

Everybody on that lot has an alibi. Every one of them is alone in it. And the only name the sheriff keeps hearing is Dixie's.

Good thing she's got Lorraine Mercer, private detective (in semi-retirement), Cecil Ashby, former undertaker and a man that knows how to wait, and a basset hound who is absolutely no help whatsoever.

Old dogs. Old grudges. One very new mystery.

OLD DOGS, NEW TRICKS is the third book in The Old Dogs' Club cozy mystery series. Like every book in the series, it's a complete mystery that can be read on its own — no gore, no cliffhangers, and a whole lot of dogs.

Genre: Cozy Mystery
