Man Without a Yesterday

(1998)
A novel by

Robbed of his memory by a head wound, Johnny No Name finds himself lost in the Black Hills of Dakota - a wilderness inhabited by wild animals and Indians. But the menace they impose pales to insignificance when Johnny encounters bounty hunters who see him as a quick chance of reward - dead or alive.

He is held captive by Holy Jack, a religious zealot, whose nineteen-year-old daughter has reasons aside from money for welcoming the man who cannot remember bygone events. She turns to him for help, not caring what his past conceals.

Together, they are hounded by her irate father, bounty hunters, hostile Sioux and even the law. As Johnny No Name fights for his life and strives to discover his identity, fate leades him through danger and tragedy towards a startling discovery.
