‘But it’s Magdalen Brightline,’ the paranormal investigator said. To his listener, the name meant nothing. But Magdalen Brightline turned out to be a big deal on the paranormal circuit, its current rockstar glamor girl, who could throw a séance like nobody’s business. (Actually, it was her business.) She was young(ish), fashionable, enigmatic as a ghost and irresistibly magnetic. So Edson Darby-Deaver, PhD simply jumped at the opportunity to test her powers, and hopefully, certify them.
While she was in St. Augustine being tested, Ms. Brightline was naturally very interested in meeting her sister psychic, Ed’s good friend, Taylor Verone. Taylor . . . not so much. She had her hands full with a rewarding life that didn’t include ghosts (most of the time). When Taylor finds out the real reason this mysterious person is so insistent on meeting her, the whole picture changes and she has to get involved, not only to save Ed from being ripped off by a lovely opportunist, but to solve the woman’s murder.
