The Elder God Terraforming System has picked a new world for invasion: Earth. A dungeon descends upon Omen, South Dakota, a small town in the Black Hills. Monsters are leaking out. People are dying. Soon, the whole world will follow.
Heroes gather. Not all of them human. Taking point in the unfolding disaster is Remington Nighthawk. He’s Navajo, an ex-marine, and a hunter of supernatural rogues. Backing him up is his hellhound companion Beau. Beau’s down for any fight as long as there’s beer soon after. Remington is estranged from his father, Kokopelli, the Native American Trickster who carelessly allowed his grandson to be killed by vampires. The two warriors must work together to save the world. And it’s not going well. Joining the dungeon-crawling mission is the owl witch, a pair of death gods, and Remington’s fey half-sister Myrra who’s a walking lightning storm. Joining the party is the local werewolf pack and its alpha. Protecting the little town, is an immortal boxer and a band of vampires wielding katanas. The townsfolk are armed, but uncertain if they can long survive the monster tide. The dungeon's AI systems are enjoying the game, making demonic bargains all along the way. And, of course, they’re addicted to cheating.
