A little dirt is expected at a garden tour. A dead body is another matter.
After Coventry’s disastrous flood, Brighton Skeenbauer is ready for a quiet spring with her husband, their one-year-old daughter, and Meri, her talking cat. She even agrees to help with a garden tour raising money for neighbors still trying to put their lives back together. All she has to do is prepare the old cemetery’s flowers and stay out of trouble.
Then the tour organizer is found dead in a potting shed. What first looks like an accident doesn’t sit right with Brighton, especially when Annika’s pink pig familiar, Gerty, says she heard an argument nearby. Gerty couldn’t see who was there, and some witches haven’t forgotten the terrible things she did before she became a familiar. Brighton knows Gerty’s past matters. She also knows they shouldn’t ignore a witness.
With the tour on hold and Gunner investigating, Brighton and Annika start asking their own questions. Between suspicious neighbors, missing answers, and Kinsley’s sudden interest in making flowers bloom, Brighton’s peaceful spring is slipping away. She promised herself she’d stay out of murder investigations this time.
Meri remembers hearing that exact promise before...
Broom to Grow is the twelfth book in the Wicked Witches of Coventry cozy mystery series. It is a humorous, clean read with no swearing, graphic violence, or adult content.
Genre: Cozy Mystery
