Assassins are killers, not bounty hunters, and certainly not babysitters. But sometimes, even the deadliest find themselves in situations they never expected.

The son of a powerful magic wielder had been kidnapped, and the assassin and his friends found themselves on an unlikely rescue mission. It was not something they did, but a debt was owed, and the job accepted. Their code would not allow otherwise.

But the powers behind the scenes were turning out to be far harder to track down than anticipated. The real forces pulling the strings might not be what they seemed. If they didn't uncover the truth, it could be the end of them all.
